POLICE PROJECT - Goal | ||||||||

Goal of this collaboration is to inform and sensitize police officers to the illness-specific particularities of mentally ill persons. The most important component of the project is the personal contact between the police officers and the afflicted with their families - members of BASTA who have agreed to participate in the police project. The personal interaction should help to break down prejudices and fears of interaction in a relaxed conversational environment which should make the 'person behind the illness', with all his or her wants and needs, visible. | |||||||
